Our Steel U Pegs are formed from 10mm high-tensile ribbed reinforcing bar into a deep U (hairpin) shape, with approximate 300mm legs and a 65mm internal width. The long, ribbed legs bite into the ground and hold firm, making them ideal for pinning down weed control membrane, landscape and geotextile fabric, ground-reinforcement grids and mesh, matting, root barriers, erosion control and temporary ground sheets.
Because the pegs are bent on a semi-automatic machine, the leg length is approximate - bars are cut at 650mm and typically finish at around 295mm to 310mm per leg once formed. This has no effect on how well they hold in the ground.
Supplied in a mill finish, so some pegs may show light surface rust, which is cosmetic only and does not affect the strength or performance of the steel. Available in multipacks of 10, 25, 50 and 100 to suit the size of the job.
