1. How do I know which bar size to choose?
It is important to match the clip size to your steel. If you are using standard 10mm rebar, the 4-12mm clip is perfect. If you are using heavy 16mm or 20mm structural steel, you must select the 12-20mm clip to ensure the spacer doesn't snap or slide during the pour.
2. What is the benefit of the 50mm cover option?
The 50mm cover is typically used for heavy-duty foundations and external structures where a thicker layer of concrete is required to protect the steel from corrosion and environmental factors.
3. Can I use the 12-20mm wheel on a smaller 8mm bar?
We don't recommend it. The clip will be too loose, and the spacer may slide down the bar when the concrete is poured. For an 8mm bar, always use our 4-12mm or 8-12mm specific clips for a secure grip.
4. Do they slip down the rebar?
No. Each spacer features a heavy-duty integral clip that "bites" onto the rebar. They are designed to stay in position even when concrete is being poured from height or during the use of immersion vibrators.
5. How many spacers do I need to use?
For vertical columns and walls, we generally recommend placing spacers at 500mm to 1000mm intervals along the rebar. You should place them on all sides of the cage to ensure the steel remains perfectly centered.
